Margaret Pope
Librarian

Margaret sources materials and products for design consultants and architects, and has worked with MICA since 1990. Margaret regularly attends trade shows and design conferences, constantly keeping in touch with suppliers and manufacturers.

Margaret manages the literature and reference library within the office, obtaining the most current design guidelines and technical manuals to ensure the office is current with policy and standards. She also guides the Continuing Professional Development team in creating a curriculum of lunchtime talks that fulfils the RIBA professional development criteria.

Her role is critical to ensuring best practice is maintained, and that all staff are kept up-to-date with new developments.

In addition to her role at MICA, Margaret is a consultant to a number of Universities, including Central St Martins - University of the Arts where she has drop-in sessions with students to help source materials for their projects, and a consultant to the Arts University of Bournemouth, giving her a broad insight into the development of architecture education as well as practice.

Margaret regularly lectures to design practices, universities and institutions across the UK.
