Galleria Sabauda

A new home for the Galleria Sabauda in Turin, Italy. The collection was previously housed in the Museo Egizio will be transferred to the Manica Nuova, a newly restored ‘ sleeve’ wing of the Royal Palace creating a new focus for museum activity in Turin.

The integration of the Royal Residence with new civic activities enhances understanding of the art and architecture, and allows the collection to be displayed on a scale appropriate to its importance. The relocation of the Galleria Sabauda and the integration of the Royal Museums was part of a strategic plan for the city of Turin.
