Rambert School

Rambert School

The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance is recognised as one of the world’s finest centres of professional dance education. The School has occupied their current sites at Clifton Lodge and the Violet Needham Chapel in Twickenham for around 12 years, after it became independent from Brunel University in 2003. The School, part of the Higher Education sector, developed the two sites in parallel, constructing new dance, teaching and support spaces. The school are planning to develop their Twickenham Campus to improve the school facilities by the design of a new flexible dance studio below the front garden of the listed Clifton Lodge site, extension of an existing dance studio and a new mezzanine floor in Violet Needham Chapel. The new studio is intended to be used as a theatre space for performances and will provide flexible seating, additional changing rooms and a break out area for students and staff.
