Gavin Miller speaks at NLA Transport Conference
MICA Director Gavin Miller spoke about the future of London’s transport infrastructure at New London Architecture’s ‘Joined-up London: infrastructure and development’ event last night.
Tying in with the launch of MICA’s Growth Lines exhibition, which opened to the public on the same night, Gavin addressed emerging transport principles for the next 20 years in London.
Gavin spoke about how London can realise it's potential for beneficial growth around key transport nodes and how investment in infrastructure can shape the future of the city. Gavin highlighted MICA's experience on various projects, such as: Sutton Tramlink, Bakerloo Line Extension, Crossrail 2, North Kent Line and others. He also spoke about MICA’s ongoing collaboration with leading transport consultants Steer, Quod and Carter Jonas.
The half-day conference brought together transport experts, architects, planners, local authorities, developers and consultants for updates on key projects and discussion.
MICA’s Growth Lines exhibition will take place at the Building Centre until the 29th January 2019. To learn more, click here.
