Growth Lines : an exhibition of work by MICA Architects

Transport is fundamental to unlocking sustainable growth and development within emerging metropolitan plans and policies.

MICA's “Growth Lines” exhibition reveals studies of extensive London-wide sites where transport can be integrated into urban areas to accommodate growth.

Incorporating and developing work done for TfL, it shows how existing urban structures can be upgraded with new transport lines and extensions, and how the best models in the right places will ensure the maximum benefit. Developed in collaboration with transport planners Steer and strategic planning by Quod.

Over the two month period Growth Lines is open MICA will be running a series of curator led tours, culminating in a trip to nearby Centre Point - an example of transport led urban regeneration. MICA and NLA will also be hosting a Private View evening of presentation, exhibition and drinks to celebrate the opening of Growth Lines.

Gavin Miller will open the private view event with a brief talk about MICA’s experience and understanding of development opportunities and typologies which can be applied across a range of scales and contexts.

Gavin will also be a part of the wider discussion on how London is realising the potential for good growth around key infrastructure nodes at NLA’s Transport: infrastructure and development conference - 5 December.
