MICA chosen for L&Q Framework

The London and Quadrant Housing Trust has named MICA as one of the selected practices for its £50 million architecture framework.

The London and Quadrant Housing Trust is one of the largest providers of affordable housing in the UK, housing over 250,000 people in more than 95,000 homes, primarily across London and the South East of England.

The Housing Trust’s framework will run from 2019 to 2021 and is anticipated to involve between £10 million and £50 million worth of housing projects, including new builds, refurbishments, masterplanning and mixed-use developments.

L&Q was founded in 1963 and its mission statement is to create “places where people want to live.” The new framework has been established to support the Trust’s delivery of a substantial proportion of their development programme.

MICA’s recent affordable housing work includes the design and delivery of White Lion House; a contemporary affordable housing block added onto the end of the Listed Centre Point complex in central London. MICA is also currently working on Fair Field Homes for Brick by Brick, which will create over 400 private and affordable homes in Croydon town centre.
