MICA joins Befirst Architecture DPS

MICA is delighted to have been selected to join the Befirst Architecture DPS for projects up to £100m set up by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

We have a long-standing relationship working in Barking and Dagenham, over a 15 year period on projects from London Road town centre masterplan and Skills Centre for the council to the River Roding masterplan, and more recently to the Riverside Gateways masterplan.

In addition we have worked across London delivering or contributing to regeneration projects directly for the GLA, LLDC, and for London Boroughs of Newham, Camden, Brent, Barnet, Hammersmith and Fulham and Croydon. On a broader scale we have also worked for TfL in exploring transport led regeneration in almost every London Borough, contributing to an extensive body of work across the city.

We believe good urban design creates inclusive places that address social inequality and barriers to mobility, preserving and enhancing each area’s unique local character. As a design approach, we take into account the needs of wide urban demographics, to create settings that help to bring the city’s diverse populations together.

MICA feel we offer the right combination of knowledge, talent and drive to deliver excellent design for Be First and the people of Barking and Dagenham.
