MICA Participate at FUTURE CITIES FORUM's 'Arts and Science Districts' event

MICA Associate Jamie Lilley joined a varied panel of hospital leaders, councils, investors, UK Government, planners and architects at Lambeth Palace Library on the 17th May to establish best practice in the development of arts and science districts.

With views across the Victorian buildings of St Thomas' Hospital Medical School to the Palace of Westminster, the group discussed how arts and science districts can be further planned, supported and developed to attract visitors and talent to boost the economies
of city districts.

On the St Thomas’ Education Centre, MICA worked alongside stakeholders to develop educational environments in which novice, intermediate, and advanced practitioners can learn or practice skills without causing harm to patients. A rich chain of spaces in which world class clinical education learning can thrive. It has the added value of a mixed mode
condition: a contemporary architecture environment to support the latest technologies, and infrastructure which showcases the best Victorian features of the St Thomas’s campus.
