Fairfield Halls features in AJ Specification

The award-winning, heritage-led design from MICA reinstates many of the original features from the original 1962 modernist building, while creating sustainable, inspiring spaces that will benefit the community for generations to come. The scheme adds two new pieces providing studio space for flexible performance and retail functions.

Behind the scenes the building fabric and structure has been brought up to modern standards and new clean energy technologies and ventilation systems have been installed throughout. New facilities throughout including new kitchens cafes and bars will enhance the life of the Halls for all those visiting, playing and working. It is has been equipped with new technologies to fulfil its potential to be a vibrant powerhouse of creative industry.

The AJ have showcased the project in the latest publication of AJ Specification Magazine. The 14 page article prints lighting details and drawings which were developed with Max Fordham and Croydon based Dernier & Hamlyn.
