MICA appointed by University of Plymouth to redevelop InterCity Place

MICA have been appointed by the University of Plymouth to lead the redevelopment of InterCity Place. This iconic 1960s building sits at the head of Abercrombie & Paton-Watson’s mid-century Armada Way as a landmark at the rail gateway to the city. The 10-storey building will become a prominent new facility for the University of Plymouth at the centre of a revitalised station masterplan. Our proposals will re-clad the tired building with a high performance sculpted façade to improve environmental conditions within the building and enable its new academic facilities. MICA are part of a multi-disciplinary team and will lead the planning application for this sensitively located and important building.
