MICA present ideas on environmental disaster resilience and the future street for the Mayor of Manila

MICA was recently invited by NLA to join a London delegation to welcome the Mayor of Manila to discuss ideas on best practices for environmental resilience and the future street.

Gavin Miller spoke about MICA’s experience developing integrated sustainable planning strategies for urban communities in the US, incorporating disaster resilience, waste management, sustainability and transportation, to address some of the challenges currently faced in Manila.

Touching on some of MICA’s work in Baton Rouge, Gavin outlined a series of concurrent five steps scenarios to illustrate best case outcomes of integrated planning, contrasted against the long term impact of do-nothing scenarios.
